Coffee doesn’t have to be dreary or merely a means to an end. Coffee can be a culture- a way of
life. When you’re immersed with people who live and breathe coffee, you have the opportunity to
discover how much it resonates with you. Attending the Kona Barista Jam and competing in the
Ultimate Barista Challenge Hawaii (UBCH) gives you the opportunity to meet passionate coffee
folk, learn new skills, hone old ones, and make friends who’ll engage you in a way you never before
expected.

Of course, if you attend and win the UBCH, you get a free trip to a Specialty Coffee Association
of America (SCAA) event! There, you can compete in an SCAA event and soak up the national and
international coffee culture. The SCAA is a great place to fully immerse yourself in coffee culture!
